Choosing THE Spot

THE GUIDE to choosing the RIGHT spot for your group!
Where will you and your friends cause trouble tonight? Choosing the right spot for your group all depends on what you want out of your experience. Do you want to be submersed by a sea of party goers OR do you want to have a more intimate evening with friends? Are you planning on coming out to Vegas during the week or the weekend? Are you planning on splurging on bottle service or will a couple of drinks at the bar be enough to complete your night? These are all the questions you want to start asking your friends. Once your group has decided on the direction of the night, use the information below to find the perfect spot!
1: MEGACLUB VS. LOUNGE
With all of the clubs, lounges and bars offering something different, we’ve broken down the list to the very basics to help you choose.
THE MEGACLUB — A megaclub is any HIGH PROFILE venue with large square footage, a capacity to hold over 1000 people, usually hosts celebrity or DJ appearances and pumps out high energy and high volume music. The entry lines tends to be long, the prices tend to be higher, and there is a vast number of European Style bottle service tables available. Many of these venues include indoor and outdoor seating and contain multiple levels, rooms, and bars.
THE LOUNGE — A lounge is considered to be smaller in square footage, a capacity to hold under 1000 people, and typically has a LOW KEY vibe. Although many Vegas lounges offer the same luxuries as a high profile megaclub, the feel of the crowd, music, and service is much more intimate and ideal for a relaxing night out with close friends. The lines are short, the prices are lower, and there’s usually one main room and bar.
2: WEEKEND VS. WEEK DAY
With most visitors coming to Vegas over the weekend, a lot of people overlook the week as a time of craziness and fun. Below are some reasons to stick around past the weekend.
THE WEEKEND — The weekend is when most of the tourists are in town. The clubs are packed with your usual even ratio crowd. The music is your normal Top 40 and Hip Hop unless a big name DJ is spinning. Many clubs have weekend pricing on bottles, which means you will spend an average of $100 more per bottle. The lines are longer and there is typically NO guest list at the major spots.
THE WEEK DAY — The week days (Sunday – Thursday) are typically when the clubs and lounges cater to the locals, also known as “industry night.” This is when you will find the BEST LOOKING crowd. The music scene is by far the best because the locals bring in the biggest DJ names. The parties have unique themes and contests. Pricing is more affordable on bottle service and most places have a guest list for FREE even ratio entry.
3: BOTTLE SERVICE VS. DRINKS AT THE BAR
Depending on which venue you choose, bottle service can be a huge advantage or just a waste of money. Learn why drinks at the bar can make your night more about pushing and shoving rather than dancing and partying.
BOTTLE SERVICE — Purchasing bottles at a table has its advantages: You have a piece of the club real-estate to gather your group that is secure, easy to move around, and above all you can grab a drink at your convenience. Most “European Style” bottle service includes your personal sexy young lady to pour the drinks, security for the table, complimentary mixers, and a prime location in the club. DOWNSIDE: The better the location of the table in the club, the more money you will need to spend. The actual table might NOT SEAT the entire party. Everything is based on bottle minimum and not the size of your group! IDEAL for MEGACLUBS.
DRINKS AT THE BAR — Buying drinks at the bar has its advantages for those nights when you want to check out several different clubs, lounges, and bars. Especially if there is a guest list and your group is very large, this strategy will leave your wallet more full. DOWNSIDE: At a busy club or lounge, you can expect a 20-30 minute wait for each drink order if you’re NOT looking after the right people. You will spend half the night battling strangers to push your way to the bar rather than enjoying the party. IDEAL for smaller clubs and LOUNGES.
